hi i am very confussed and stuck!. i am trying to find information about my great grandmother lillian norgrove (i thought her name was carter till an hour ago) she was born 21 or 22 june 1902 and died january 1972. she married albert tranter and had 4 children and then married joseph pugh and had another 9 children. she was very young when she got married. lillians mother was called beatrice and her mother was called emma edwards (i dont know any date for these two). as far as i know lillian was born in a workhouse in wellington , telford and when she married joseph pugh she lived in dawley telford. im not sure where she lived with albert tranter but it was in telford shropshire

if anyone has any information it would be a very big help

Is this her birth? Note this spelling has one L in Lilian - but you have to expect it to vary! Where does your info come from? The birth year does not match.

Both marriages are shown on Ancestry she married Albert Tranter 1921 he died Madeley1928 she married Joseph W I Pugh 1928 Madeley.
Do you have the names of all the children as they will be on Ancestry if you need them. Irene

Sorry made a mistake childrens MMN was Norgrove it was the district that was Madeley!

Hve tried a 1911 search, but no luck at all for some reason. Vaguely wondering if she was taken in by someone and took on their name, hence you thinking her maiden name was different? Just speculating really.
