Find Ancestors

Hi, Cannanybody help me. I have been trying to find the Birth Reg. date of Mary Richardson. Her fathers was James Richardson her mother Catherine Richardson formerly Catherine McDowell. Both parents were from Wigton Scotland . I have trace the parent and Mary and her sister in several of the census but would like to get her birth cert details. I know she was born in Liverpool around 1873.

There were no penalties until 1875 for not registering births, so you may find that she simply wasn't registered

Can you give us some census details, please.

I can't find them in 1881 with the details you have posted.

on Free Bmd found birth for Mary Richardson 1875 Liverpool so think this maybe it. ANd the date 1876 could be wrong.

I would like to also try and find out when she married.

Its just that on different census my ancestors have their bith place down as sometimes WIGTON and other times SCOTLAND>

The only Catherine McDowell I can find around 1836 in Scotland but not Wigtown.
