Rosina Green, was my Great Grandmother, I am trying to discover her maiden name. I believe she was born in 1884 or thereabouts.
All I know, is that Rosina was a daugther of a Harley Street Doctor, and she fell in love with a builder who was doing work on thier house, George Green (my later Great Grandfather) and ran off with him. This displeased her father, who disowned her.
George sadly died during the blitz whilst trying to help rebuild his local area.
Any information would be great! Or tips on how to discover more information!

Guys this is AMAZING! I don't think that George had a middle name. but his death record that Jan put up is spot on!
I'm almost sure that her father was a dr and he was a harley street doctor though, not a labourer.
My Grandfather, thier son's name was Henry Green.

Mike * Report 4 May 2010 21:03

Uh - Oh !
Bit of a leap from labourer to Harley Street Doctor !

We really need name confirmation of Sarah's grandparent.

There are no Harley Street doctors coming up with a daughter Rosina. If she is your great grandmother, do you have your grandmother/grandfather's birth certificate, which will give you her maiden name?

EDIT, Oh he is Henry Green born about 1911. Do you have his marriage cert to your grandmother, and is his father described as a Doctor? What makes you think he was a doctor?
