Can anybody find the deaths of Sarah Ann Davies b1872 I believe early 1920's, Emma Mitchell b1874, Hezekiah Steddar/Stidder b1879, and Mary Jones b1887 possibly all Monmouthshire area. Fathers name Valentine Steddar/Stidder and Emma Beames. Thanks

I am trying to find any details on Amelia Steddar or could be Thomas or Jenkins. The information I have was that Amelia bap 9 May 1819 was reputed to be daughter of Wm. Thomas and her mother was Mary Steddar who later married Walter Jenkins. This information was submitted not transcribed from parish registers on IGI. Any help much appreciated

The information about Hezekiah was that my aunt visited U.K. in the 1960's, and she was told by the family, that a Hezekiah was the father of Wyndham, even today she is adamant that was his name. If that was the case that means that it was her sister's father-in-law.
I also noticed a witness to the wedding of Emma was a Posachar Steddar, brother I assume, I have had lots of fun trying to find out is correct name Isaachar, Isacar, J was listed on 1881 census, what do you think

is this where the family lore of a Hezekiah might have come from?

His baptism was in the name of his (unmarried) mother Mary Steader

The IGI stuff was submitted not transcribed from parish registers so always suspect but he appears a few times (also a sister Amelia b 1919 to same parents) and there was that marriage - admittedly 25 yrs later.

on the other hand the parish reg for Amelia say this

9 May 1819 Amelia reputed d/o Wm Thomas, otp, labr by Mary Stedder

6 Feb 1842 Jas s/o Wm & Rebecca Steddar, otp, labr

19 May 1844 Emma d/o Wm & Rebecca Steddar, otp, labr

I had details of Emma, but not of Rebecca. Can I ask, William Snr. 1810 you gave parents as Walter Jenkins & Mary Stedder, does that mean Walters' surname was Jenkins or was it Stedder. I am sorry if I am confused, bit late in the day for me (in Australia)

Sorry I gave you wrong birth year, should have been 1842, I'm starting to think surname is stidder not steddar!! that would be a shock to the family

Anne of Green Gables has already given me the marriage of Rebecca to Abraham Hodges in 1858. Can you find a marriage of James Steddar born 1832? I have checked free bdm but am having trouble with different spellings of surname.
