thank you shirley i have fredricks correct date of birth now which will help a great deal :-)

Fredrick did not marry his mother who died when Alec was young. He was brought up by his Grandmother Carr & was known as Alec Carr when at school untill he joined the RAF & it came to light that his birth certificate said Alec Coxworth Bannister. His mother is Elsie Bannister.

that is all the information we have please feel free to ask any questions. thanks

Bianca, to find where the Carr siblings were born, and the quarters they were registered, search for them at FreeBMD like the others have done here for your other people.

You have the names and approx dates of birth from the 1901 census -- search FreeBMD for them!

http://www.freebmd.org.uk

That's all anybody else would do. ;)

Bianca, it's fun to find things yourself.

Elsie's name suggests that her parents' surnames were Coxworth and Bannister.

If you search at FreeBMD for a marriage with those two surnames, say 1880-1900, you'll discover yet another interesting fact about Elsie. ;)

EvieBeavie

EvieBeavie Report 5 Feb 2009 18:13

If you do that search and report what you find, Bianca, I'll be happy to give you the info about Elsie from the 1901 census (it's a little tricky).

Find Elsie's parents' marriage, and tell us their names!
