Thank you so much, you have been an absolute star, I am so grateful for your help.

I now have the census info for Edith Stone and her family 1881,1891 & 1901.

Going back to Lilian Dyer/Oxenham/Matcham - would you know why she is referred to as Dyer or Oxenham, do you think there was a previous marriage or do you think it would only be referred to like that on adoption?

Thanks

Nicki

Nicki.Happy you've got the info soughted.I can only speculate that there may have been a marriage between one of Thomas Dyer 1891 sister or family member to an Oxenham and maybe they took some of the youngest children into their family after the death of the mother.

Do you know for sure that Lilian and Edith Married?

Did the Dyer family stay in Bristol and are they still in Bristol?.Around the Keynsham area?.Only asking as I may have some lead's for you.

Cassidy

Pretty sure the majority of the family stayed in Bristol (very dysfunctional family though!!).

My Uncle has just text me to say that there were 15 children!! and one called May!!

Thanks

Do you know if Lilian and Edith married? Are you sure ?.I can't believe the 15 children part.It was illegal not to register your children and the authoritie's would have had something to say.
Maybe Thomas married again and then had more children with 2nd wife. From 1916 to the death of mother in 1931 there are no other children recorded.

You can also rule out the Matcham marriage.I've confirmed the Lilian E Dyer involved...no relation to you.

Do you or have you heard of Rock Road in Keynsham?.

Cassidy

Perhaps he got confused with Edith's parents and their children?

Never heard of Rock Road - Why?

How did you manage to rule out the Matcham wedding?

Thanks

It was a Lilian Ethel Dyer who married a Samuel Oxenham and then remarried the Matcham I mentioned.
This Lilian was born in Fulham.

I've been looking at other information and just wondered if you knew of any of the family still living in the Bristo/Keynsham area

Hi Cassidy

Thanks for clearing that up for me.

Unfortunately I do not know any of the family still living in Keynsham/Bristol.

When his mother died my grandad joined the Army and never returned there. I think he was in touch with his brother George. My grandad died in 1990.

Kind regards

Nicki
