Hi Maggie

I'm just wondering have you checked after 1901 to see if they married later? Theres a very high possiblity they didn't marry at all but they may have done later than you're expecting them to have.

My grandmother was born 1905 & her parents didn't marry till 1907.

Hi Christa,

Have looked after 1901 and still no joy. Me thinks they never actually married, although she did change all of her previous husband's children's names !. It says they are married on their son's birth certificate but you can never quite beleive those can you!

Betty,

Don't think they would have married in Ireland. She lost her first husband in Jan 1898 and had 8 children by him all born in Birmingham. Rose and Michael had their own son in Jan 1900 also in Birmingham. I will check Ireland though. Thanks

Joy,

Will have great difficulty if he died at sea. Most ofthe records only start from 1854. Have found the 1841 census but they are numerous deaths in middlesex, none of which I think match yours (too old, too young etc). I'll keep looking though,.

Regards

Maggie

Joy,

You could try the buriel records at Kew. Other than that not sure where to go from here. Sorry.
