ceri Report 10 Apr 2008 23:25

Yeah Jill thats the 1901 census i have, I shall get the cert as gerri suggests.

lol, So far i have had to get some sort of cert for every member of my family and my partners family gerri, due to many different reasons i wish i knew where all the original certificates were or at least who had them lol i would of saved my self about £300 so far and rising

MrsBucketBouquet Report 10 Apr 2008 23:27

I speak from experience...I had two Elizabeth Pilliners....Same year of birth.

Both from same county but from different parishes...

I was lucky and matched up with another GR member....we together sorted it...but it was a real headache!

I diddnt want HER Pilliner....lol

ceri Report 10 Apr 2008 23:38

im ceri by the way, ians partner, he gave up on it as he didnt know how to research the details so i took over, he has agreed to a few of the certs but a quite a lot i have ordered and hid away lol so he doesnt know.
I have quite a few people on here that are connected in some way or another but because i dont know if i can trust their source of data i prefer to do it myself at least that way i know i have definately got it right

Jill Report 10 Apr 2008 23:42

its the best way Ceri, and you have the satisfaction of knowing you did it.
its one thing ive never done copy someone elses.Theres been times ive gone wrong but thats all part of it.

MrsBucketBouquet

MrsBucketBouquet Report 10 Apr 2008 23:44

Thats the best way forward Ceri....do the research yourself.

It's too easy to get carried away with so called 'hot matches' on GR

You never know if they are guesses or they have the correct records.

I would hate to find out I had followed the wrong line!

£7 is OK...but £307?....who adds them up? I dont! my partner would kill me! lol

ceri

ceri Report 11 Apr 2008 00:00

yes tell me about it lol, i caught the end of the one that was on tonight but really dont think it is that good, the only thing i really got from tonights one was that the matchmakers were prone to dying young from some jaw disease because of the fumes of the white phosperus used in the matches

i had quite a few relatives on my partners side that were matchbox makers or matchstick makers!!

ceri
