It could mean that Ann Waite remarried at some stage.

Sorry it does look confusing on reading it back!

Looking for James Pickles born approx 1883 married in 1902 in Birstall Yorks to Elizabeth Ord Turner.
Son is Norman Pickles.
Family is from around the Batley area in Yorkshire.
I think he is James Pickles born 1883 from Dewsbury but the birth certificate I have just received lists him as having Mary Ann Barber as a mother. I was expecting Mary Ann Waite based on info given by other genes reunited members.

I'm a little confused here - if james is Nornan's father is it the father of James you are trying to find. Who was 19 in 1902? Where did 'they' get married?
please could you put the details a little more clearly so we can perhaps help you

for future reference it is also helpful if you put the name of the person you are seeking in the subject line so people can see at a glance down the seeking board who you are looking fopr

Hi,
Iam trying to find the father of Norman Pickles. His parent's were James Pickles and Elizabeth Ord Turner. According to their marriage certificate he was 19 in May 1902. I have traced him as James Pickles born in Dewsbury in 1883 which fits with the general area in which they lived but his mother's surname is then Barber rather than Waite as expected. The expectation is based on others tracing the Pickles line. Can anyone help me or suggest what next?
