Ann Shirley Report 28 Oct 2008 13:30

Hi,

I'm trying to trace a Thomas Squire (born around 1845-48) in Ashbrittle Somerset. I can find him on the BMD 's His fathers name was a Henry Squire and Mother was Mary Not. I have found that Thomas was married in Hockworthy to an Emily Gard but nothing earlier. Its hard to locate him on the 1851 census.

Can you help?

Thanks

Shirley

I'm looking for JENNINGS.

My 2 X paternal Grandmother was.......

Elizabeth Jennings born c.1820, Wellington Somerset.... according to the census records.

Father's name Samuel.Jennings who was a labourer when she married in 1843 at West Monkton Parish Church, Somerset..,

These are possibly her relatives on the 1841 census.

Samuel & Sarah Jennings.
William Jennings c.1821
& Emma Jennings c.1827
all living in Wellington, Somerset.

I've temporarily given up trying to untangle my Hutchins / Beer / Jennings lot from Chard.

Illegitimate twins, unknown mothers, made up fathers ... maddening.
