I'm trying to find information of the parents of Thomas Clough. I believe he was born on Christmas Day 1912, or there abouts, in either Gateshead or Newcastle, and who died in August 1970.
In the 1930's he married Lilian ( could possibly be Parker). She was born about the same time as Thomas but she died in 1947. Their marriage details and her birth details would help me alot. They had a son Thomas born April 1940.
After Lilians death he then married Irene Granville and had 2 more children, James and Steven.
I'm sorry to be so vague but this is all the information I have. I've had no luck with freebmd or familysearch.
Could anyone help.

& 1 in Newton Acliffe in 1921

Going to see if I can find the marriage for you now.

Hi Chrisa,
Thanks for your reply but I'm afraid I didn't understand it. I'm fairly new to this you see.

The ref is for Thomas's birth cert from GRO registered in the April/May/June Quarter of 1940 Newcastle Upon Tyne.
Mothers Maiden Name Parker
The first number folowed by the letter is the volume number, the second is the page number.

You need that ref if you want to order his birth cert from gro.gov.uk cost 7 pounds

When asked if you know the ref click yes

There is one for OND 1911 in Newcastle

OR

One in JFM 1912 in Gateshead

There isn't a Thomas Clough registered in the OND 1912 or JFM 1913 where you would expect a Dec 25th birth to be. But if the year you have is wrong say he was born 25/12/1911 then it could be either of the two above.

There are two Thomas Cloughs registered in OND 1912. One in Wolstanton & one in Lanchester.

Wolstanton is in Staffordshire

Lanchester is County Durham

Hi Chrisa
I think it must be the OND 1911 Newcastle.
Is Gateshead in County Durham?
