Can anyone tell me who Isabella Smailes married i know she had 6 children, she was born in 1859 Yorks, Middleham. I think she had a brother called James Smailes who i know married a Jane Harbottle and they had 3 children. I also do not know who James and Isabella's parents are can anyone help please.

Looking at he censuses, Smailes looks like a married name - in 1881 Isabella (born 1859, Middleham) is married to William Smailes. Can you give any more info?

Was James Smailes brother to William? if so i have worked it out. I know that Isabella had 6 children Emily 1889, Annie 1883, George 1881, John 1886 and Alice and Elsie who i dont know the exact year they were born in.

alice and elsie were born 1895&1892 all her children were born darlington

James was born 1854 Durham and i believe he married a Jane Harbottle born 1851.

I'm struggling here - keep coming back to James Smailes marrying Mary Ann Fenwick in 1876. He was born right year, right place.

My nans mum was called Gladys Yule and her mother was called Eleanor Smailes born 1891 then i believe that her parents were James Smailes and Jane Harbottle.
