This could be your George...
Births Dec 1854 (>99%)

Cursley George Bedford 3b 243

Unfortunately the only way to find out is to buy the certificate.
It would tell you his parents names.

Thanks Vera,
I'll order the birth cert. when I've got some spare cash.
This family research stuff is so expensive.
Thanks again,
Claire

Hi Claire,
You are so right...it can get very expensive.
Obviously he should be on the 1861...but so far no luck....will let you know if I find him and his family.
If you don't mind, when you have the birth certificate, I would be interested to know if it is the right one.

Not A problem, although I should warn you that it could be some time as I have 5 children to buy school uniforms for so money's going to be tight for a while.
Thanks again, Claire

Hi Claire and Vera.
Wow you two can certainly talk .... :-)
I have a William RAWDING but mine was born in 1801 so it is most likely not the same one you two refer too.

However FYI there are a heap of RAWDINGS in Lincolnshire, a lot of them around the Scredington area. This may prove fruitful if you wanted to go back further with your william.

His son was thomas and he had a daughter Kate Lavinia Rawding - several other children including a WILLIE RAWDING born 1870 in POINTON Lincolnshire.

Any help - need anything let me know.

Regards

Nigel
