Hi Lorraine, are you sure it's for a Collette as I have looked and cannot find it. Only found a Cora.

I found her entry on the full register of Births Deaths and Marriages. I use Findmypast, a paying site and FreeBMD which is free but not useful after about 1920 at the moment.

You can buy her birth certificate but at the moment you are really trying to find her and not her parents.

Have you sent a message to the person who has Collette Degnan on their tree on this site Genes Reunited? They may know more.

I will look on the full register and see if I can find her marriage. Was she married when you were born?

hi,thanks her maiden name is degnan she must have got married then called duncan i think she was born in 1936 in dewsbury,not sure only found out her real name on monday thats all i no,im 41 not seen her since i was a baby ....

Need more info, how old is she? is Degnan or Duncan her maiden name etc, what area is she from?
