To quote "The way you were treated was absolutely disgraceful", no what was disgraceful was that several people were posting unsuspecting people's addresses & phone numbers on here along with small children's birth details.

I wish Rea every success in finding her family however we need to remember to respect not only GR's posting guidelines but the confidentiality of others.

The best thing I'm sure is for any of us to totally ignore such rudeness if we ever find ourselves in your situation.

Hi Ria,

Try the addresses I sent you, I think you brother and Father area at the 2 different addresses I have given.
To be fair to Ria, when people post on these boards and are new, they do not know how the system works, a lot of people are not aware that the sights you search for them are pay to view sites, and that it can also be quite time consuming, we have been around for a while and know this, ...... but the newbies do not.
Hence we see that there are sometimes several threads about the same thing, or that people lose their own thread and do not come back to reply.......
Try to bear in mind that Ria is new to this site, and also it takes a lot of courage to commence this search :O)

Omg i feel so sorry for you,it is terrible that so many people had a go at you!..i did the same as you i put lots of threads on and took them off and started over as advised..but yet people still had a go,i am hopless at looking things up and trying to get alpahbetical orders of names and numbers on pages is really confusing for me!! i am not the brightest at this and i have been doing it a while! lol,
i was advised by a really kind person who told me to look at the left hand side of the screen and the man with the hat it says my threads you just click on there and they all come up and when you reply to someone it nudges you up..i have now stopped annoying people,but seem people dont seem to understand how anixious it is for some people..

Nicki please explain to me what mistakes ive made because i really dont understand what ive done wrong. The people who have helped me have been sending me private msgs and not 1 of them in my opinion thinks im being ungrateful or causing arguements with people. Im also not the only person who can see that certain people on here are going out of there way to be really rude to me and are the same people who have been rude to those that have helped me as well. I may be many things but ungrateful is not 1 of them.

The only way you will get info from this site is by people helping you that have access to all the other very expensive sites. These people - including myself - are prepared to help others who do not have subscriptions to that level.

I reported this thread because in my opinion, for the second day running it is getting personal.

I am extremely grateful to those that have helped me with the information ive recieved, i dont see how when you're a outsider looking in its not blatantly obvious that im being extremely polite and curtious to those that have helped me but certain people keep harrassing me?? ive reported it myself i havnt paid for my subscription to argue with people i have paid for it to find my family that i havnt seen since i was 2.

As an outsider looking in. You really ought to be grateful that people who have paid lots of money for subscriptions to findmypast, 192.com and Ancestry etc are willing to give you information and try to help you.

Of course you could pay for your own subscriptions and find the info yourself.

I have reported your thread for review from the GR team, so hopefully this latest bit of bickering will cease forthwith.

The world dont rotate around you and my world certainly doesnt. Believe it or not youre not the only person on here being unreasonable i havent asked you for your help so just leave me alone.

No offence ericthered but you havent got a clue about how complicated my family is so no just because i was given 1 address by 1 person does not or a second mean that Alexis is with him or even if its the right 1. Im NOT going to stop asking for help off of willing people who use this sight because they genuinly want to help people like myself i am not doing or saying anything wrong. It makes more sense to me to be given the same address several times instead of once before i chase it up as ive spent the last 8 yrs searching with no luck.
