Does Friston Female mean she didn't live long enough to be named?

Hi Kristine

Yes .... it probably means that she was born alive but died very soon after.

If she was stillborn, the birth would not be shown on this register ...... there is a special register for stillbirths, which is accessible only by the parents, or the siblings if they can prove that the parents are dead.

I'm now looking for the deaths of:
Frederick George Pegg bc1895
Edith Jane Pegg bc1897
Alice Rose Pegg bc1898
Eseling Arthur Pegg bc1900
Margaret Pegg bc1905
They were all born in Sproughton.

Aswell as their marraiges, the only spouse I know of for certain is Eseling's, she was called Ethel and died in the early 90s and was the youngest of 11 brothers and sisters, she lived Bareham, Suffolk and probably died there.

Aswell as the death of their Mum Sarah Pegg, who was known as Susanna which may have been her middle name. She was a widow at death so I don't know if she was using her maiden name Cooper. She lived in Sproughton and was born in Bathford Suffolk, in 1864. I think its unlikely she died much before 1947 and probably after, as my Grandma remembers her and she was born 1937.

Thanks

Can anyone help?

Kristine

These deaths are not so easy to find ............... it means searching the Complete Index to bmds (which is on ancestry), quarter by quarter, year by year. There may well be a lot of years to search if you can't narrow down the age of death a little better.

Marriages are easier ........... they should be on www.freebmd.org.uk, which is a free site. It currently has bmds upto about 1925. You can search it yourself!

Here are two of them ... the others might need more searching!

Marriages Mar 1927 (>99%)

Pegg Frederick G Randall Samford 4a 1367
Randall Alice R Pegg Samford 4a 1367

Marriages Sep 1918 (>99%)

Noble William F Pegg Samford 4a 2269
Pegg Alice R Noble Samford 4a 2269

You could also check the deaths on freebmd to see if any of them died before 1930.
