I think you can pay the records office £3 per record to check each one you think it might be, then they only charge you £7 if they find it. If I were you I would call the genral records office or email them.

the information regarding checking documents is under 'document matches'

I'm thinking of using this for a family members birth certificate if the one I ordered as probably being the right one ends up being the wrong one. As £3 a times cheaper than £7.

I SHOULD GET THE ELIZABETH'S CERT IN POST IN A FEW DAYS AND HOPE THAT WILLIAM AMOS SMITH AND JESSIE MANN ARE ON THE CERT

Do you have Elizabth's marriage cert? Does that name her dad as William Amos Smith with the same occuation as the twins?

When in 1901 was the wedding? Can't find the couple on the 1901 but there is a Jessie Mann in Hackney (born Scotland)
