I've just looked at LforW's post about Ann marrying George Leeves. Is the Ann M Doran also posted her maiden name?

Ozi.

Hi Ozi

On Lancsbmd if their are two names on the marriage cert they show it as two entries. So if Ann did remarry Leeves then Doran *could* be her maiden name. It's one of those 'you need the cert to prove it' :-)

Regards

Hi, I have just received the birth cert for Elizabeth Carrick. She was born 14 April 1842, at 6.30 am. West Derby Lancaster. Father Christopher Carrick, mother Ann, nee, Bryan. Do you think she may have been a twin as its not common to have time of birth on cert.
If Christopher Carrick died 1847/8 and his wife remarried George Leeves in 1852, I wonder if they were living together in 1851, as no one can find Elizabeth Carrick born 1842 in the 1851 census, could she be living with Leeves family or even using the name Leeves.

Can anyone take a look when they have time for Leeves family in 1851, her mothers maiden name was Bryan, could Elizabeth be living with then do you think.

thanks for all your help, if I had the 1851 census I think the line for Elizabeth Carrick would be at an end.

Best wishes
Kathy
