Hi, I have just received the birth cert for Elizabeth Carrick. She was born 14 April 1842, at 6.30 am. West Derby Lancaster. Father Christopher Carrick, mother Ann, nee, Bryan. Do you think she may have been a twin as its not common to have time of birth on cert.
If Christopher Carrick died 1847/8 and his wife remarried George Leeves in 1852, I wonder if they were living together in 1851, as no one can find Elizabeth Carrick born 1842 in the 1851 census, could she be living with Leeves family or even using the name Leeves.

Can anyone take a look when they have time for Leeves family in 1851, her mothers maiden name was Bryan, could Elizabeth be living with then do you think.

thanks for all your help, if I had the 1851 census I think the line for Elizabeth Carrick would be at an end.

Best wishes
Kathy

Hi Ozi

On Lancsbmd if their are two names on the marriage cert they show it as two entries. So if Ann did remarry Leeves then Doran *could* be her maiden name. It's one of those 'you need the cert to prove it' :-)

Regards
LfW

I've just looked at LforW's post about Ann marrying George Leeves. Is the Ann M Doran also posted her maiden name?

Re "2nd generation Carrick/Dixon" wasn't Mary her elder sister? It would be the same generation, perhaps even the same Dixon!! It would make sense as far as Elizabeth moving away from Liverpool.

Hi Ozibird, that is a odd one, I wonder if there is a conection, Carrick and Dixon second generation? Although this thomas came from ireland, and I cant face another Irish ancester, 3 are more than enough.
Still hoping for 1851 censu for Ann Carrick, she got to be somewhere!

Cheers

Poor soul did'nt have much of a life, its more importent that I find her in 1851 now as she may not be on any other census, also what ever happend to the other children as posted in 1841

CARRICK, Thomas M 4 1837 Lancashire

They would have been abt, 15 and 11 in 1851.

Can anyone find the 1851 census please.
