After viewing the actual census, Marguerita Tripp is a cousin not daughter.

On the 1901 census (not 1910), Marguerita Tripp is listed as S. Daughter not cousin as on 1891.

Was she Lucy Tool before she was Tripp??? or was she Fairbrase before she was tripp?? what name would she have gone back to after her first hubby and before her second???

Two possibilities but I believe it's the first one, Boarder, because she's unemployed school mistress.

This one is interesting as well because Margaret Tripp is listed as a niece. So did your Lucy marry a cousin (Tripp) after her first marriage?

Lucy Toole married Edward Fairbrass in 1882, they had two daughters; Lucy, 1882 and Winifred in 1883. Edward died in 1886 and Lucy Toole Fairbrass than married Thomas James Trip in 1891, she was then again a widow in 1901.

Joan interesting that could explain a lot!!!! maybe she did??? it did happen in those days. I did not know he had a cousin named Margaret?? he did call him self by a different names Francis William rather than Thomas can we know his cousins on any census??? I like a bit of scandal!!

Why would he call himself Francis William when his name was Thomas James? Is there another individual involved here?
