There are no marrs of Thomas Poole in Skipton 1900-1927 (Skipton includes Barnoldswick), and there's 3 dozen in Lancs - none in Blackburn. I think you should try getting a name via the electoral roll. I did find the following: |

The other problem, of course, is that he may not have been married at all in England yet, for some reason, he either said that he was or it was written incorrectly. There appears to be no record of a wife going over there yet my mum had written that they had stayed with Uncle Tom and Aunt Bridie. Maybe he got married over in America. I wonder if anyone has Marriage Records for USA handy. Thankyou for taking all this time to try and find the clues to yet another mystery! |
