Thank you so much, they are posting a certificate out to me. I didn't realise I could get them instantly. Thanks for everything, I will go back and have a look now.

Thanks so very much, you are very kind.

yes, I am finally getting with the program. the BDM site is down for maintenance, until 9 am, I will get on once it is back up, and get the instant copy. I have already ordered the cert to be posted.

Clearly I am learning a lot.

Thanks for your advice.

There is no sister listed, and in fact a lot of the information listed on the certificate does not tally up, with what Dad's Aunt told him about the accident.

I am going to look at the inquest report, as I am now thoroughly confused, and dismayed.

Thanks for everybodies help.

Hi Cathie, just wondering if there's anything else we can help with, now you have the other details? Regards Linda :)

Hi Linda,

Thanks for your question, I am completely confused. It appears she was killed on her way home from work. There is no record of a daughter. Could someone please tell me, if the girl had a different mother of father would she still have appeared on the death cert of either of them. Also how can I determine if William Alister married again.

(The questions are coming out of the woodwork now)

Thanks again

Thanks Beth, I have already contacted the local paper, and they do not have copies for the years required, due to a fire (I beleive) at their storage/archive facility. The SLV has a copy, and I am going to try and get in there this afternoon. I spent my lunch break reading my grandmothers inquest documents.

I couldn't find any mention of a child.

Have you purchased the father's death certificate. It should indicate a second marriage and also children

Cathie

Cathie Report 21 Jan 2009 03:39

yes I have, and there is no mention. of any other child on either death certificate.

Would a possible adoption have removed a child from the certificate

Cathie, I really don't know. Are there no other family members who know of this child? Are there any photos of her?

Hi Lewella, Sorry I have been in Queensland for the long weekend. No there is nothing, except my Dad's Aunt also told my Mum about the child, and said she died in the same accident as his mother. They were a very hush, hush family, who didn't talk about ANYTHING. I do not have a single photo of my Dad's family at all.

Thanks anyway.

HI
Something totally random have you tried nsw bdm, due to the closeness of the border?

Unfortunately NSW bmd on the net, only has births up until 1908. Perhaps cherilyn could help with that one? Regards Linda :)
