Hi everyone,

Yes back on the boards and hopefully will be able to do some lookups now I have renewed my Ancestry subscription - at half price.

Actually had 5 pins and a plate inserted in my left leg around the knee joint which is why it has taken so long but waiting 5 weeks for physio after I got home did delay my progress.

Now mobile with the aid of a walking stick.. Not too bad at getting around indoors but very slow when trying to walk on footpaths. Thankfully no longer have to hop up the stairs on one leg using a crutch - boy did I hate that.

Hoping that shortly I will be able to walk the dogs but have had the services of a very nice man who has taken them out for me.

Nice to see a lot of familiar names still around.

Thanks everyone.

Maureen

So is your hockey career over now?

GlitterBaby

GlitterBaby Report 31 May 2009 12:05

Only ever played hockey at school.

Not sure I will be applying to appear on Dancing on Ice as I was walking on ice when I fell over.

Right, I forgot you played hockey on grass over there - must be awkward as your skates must really dig in all the time, but then, you'ld not smash your knee up if you went over, so I suppose there's an up side too, eh.

Maureen, great to see you back. What a mess you must've made of your knee. Wow!

I'm on holiday in NZ at the moment & only checking in occasionally for the next 2 weeks, but I'm glad I caught this thread.
