Picture was taken around 1895 so they had:
George (10) Polly (9) Thomas (8) Joseph (7) Lizzie (6) Wilson (5) Richard (3) Nellie (2) ...a busy house!

I would not have said that Polly looked 9 in the photo, but i suppose she must have been!

1911 census using Elizabeth Mary as reference;

HOUSEHOLD BETTS CECIL M 1911 1 MONTH Grimsby Lincolnshire
HOUSEHOLD BETTS MAY F 1906 5 Grimsby Lincolnshire
HOUSEHOLD BETTS WILLIAM M 1910 1 Grimsby Lincolnshire

I'm 99.9% sure these are her children.

Well the amount of children tally up when we add Mary A to the 1891 census, so I think Elizabeth is definately Lizzie.

How lovely to be able to put faces to names!!! Think it would make my spine tingle with glee.

Must go to bed now, night night, Dee xxx

Gemma,

Just a quick tip. The 19111 census is ssooooo expensive, I tend to use the advanced search with a more unusual name in the other members of household and then cross reference them with eachother names. It's slower but it's free!!!! can't get better than free, unless you need to see their address or occupation.

Thanks for all your help Dee. yes its a great feeling to put faces to the names.

Dont worry, i have a little 1911 tip so that it doesnt cost me a penny to find out who was in each household....just cant see the relationships between people my way.
