hi all sorry for delay in my reply been getting daughter sorted for going away for a month today ( YIPPPPEEEEE LOL )
his 2nd marriage was to my grandmother it was also her 2nd marriage too here are the details

ROBERT WILLIAM RUDD married LILLIAN LOWTH on 25th aug 1973 registered district of buckrose county of york
he was aged 66
she was 60
both were living at 35 st johns walk bridlington at time of marriage

hope this help also i.m going to put the names of possible sibling to my mother see if she can remember them

I said I'd seen the death record before I asked about shortened names or nicknames because it puzzled me too & I asked what the second wife's/ your grandmothers names was lol , Bob is on the right track now I think you seem to be getting your info,

thank you for all info i.m just a little confused if sandy was a nick name would that have been allowed when his death was registered would.t they have had to put his propper name on the death cert instead of the nick name ?

where does the name Barlow come from ?

as far as my mother can remember it was his name she always knew him as that i have just had a look to see if there are any children born with surname rudd mmn barlow only ones i can find were miles away from where he was born but mum seams to remember that sandy did have siblings 99% certain there was 2 sisters

thats the problem i don.t know but it would have been before sandy was born so before june 1934 & it would have taken place in north yorkshire & be honest not even sure if sandy was there first born child but was useing his birth year as a starting point & going backwards but can find nothing so without sandy.s birth we can.t find out what his mmn was i was looking to see if i could find the marriage it would have been robert william rudd to ?????? in 1934 or before in north yorkshire but looks like i need sandy.s birth cert befor i going to find that out lol
