From this info she obv did not marry the two middle "husbands" but must have just taken their name.

Sophie Report 6 Mar 2009 23:19

maybe...but wot about the other daughter rhoda?.....there is a birth record of a rhoda jeskins born 1898?....

Jacqueline

Jacqueline Report 6 Mar 2009 23:26

Have you got the birth cert if the father was present at the time of registration then his name could be put on the cert and the baby must have taken his surname rather than hers but to do that he would have to have been present when baby was registered if they were not married

If this is the right woman there is a Charles staying with them who is too old to be a child could his name been mistranscribed or were they all living as one big happy family

OK, ive just recieved the supposed daughter's birth certificate rhoda jeskins...born 1897, it says that her mother is a Rhoda Pearce.....which is the same mother as my fred tipping.....but it just says for mother..."rhoda jeskins formerly pearce..."....now if she was married before and there is no search of a husbands death....wudnt it say "rhoda jeskins.....late tipping formerly pearce"??...

i am even more confused now...
