Hi, Im looking for any information how ever small that joins Minnie Opie c1867 with John Williams c1867. It is believed they both came from Cornwall & settled in Plymouth, they had 2 daughters, Maud b1893 & Rosina b1898.

According to the 1901 both John and Minnie were born in Sancreed Cornwall which is in the Penzance area. In the 1891 census we have a Minnie Opie who was born in Peranworthal which is in the Truro area and another who is working as a Servant in Compton Gifford Plymouth and was born in a place called Gevennch Cornwall according to Ancestry but I can't make out from the original what it is but am I right to assume it is this Miinie who you think ended up with John? Do you have either of the children's birth certificates to confirm that her maiden name was Opie? I will post Maud's below.

My first question is what proof have you got that Minnies name was opie ?

Very sorry, still trying to work out how to do what.

To answer your first question, On Minnie's daughters births' cert she is down as Minnie Williams formerly Opie.

No doubt anogg and I have looked at all opie options, my next thought is to find them on the 1911 census and see how long they SAY they were married for?
Next question just to confuse the issue, was she born opie or did her mother remarry ?

Sorry if my info has been a bit haphazard or unclear.

My original request was mainly to find anything regards marriage or even info on other tree's to join Minnie & John.

Have no parentage for Minnie.
(Family heresay being, a family member was named after females in family. Maud Melinda Rose. We believed this to be the mother & two daughters. We are now led to believe it to be, Grandmother & two daughters.)

Which would bring Malinda/Melinda being Minnie's mother.

Have found Minnie & Rosina on 1911 census, living in Plymouth, Devonshire. Rosina is down as Rose Ina, she was quite hard to find.

I am happy this is the correct mother & daughter. Rosina aged 11 in 1911.
