thank you for explaining colette,i cou;ldnt do it myself the other day as i was rather shocked at the reaction i got,yes i understand that this research is expensive and im gratefull to all the people who looked up for me(i thanked everyone for every bit of info that was given)this isnt all one sided in the four years that ive been a member ive also helped lots of people at my own expence,but this is what the site is all about,we help each other.
im sorry if i got over excited, but after searching a family for four years and even going up to scotland for research and then finding your rellie may have lived on your doorstep is a big shock.
ive just been been on my thread and noticed that certain people have deleted their coments,was this before or after your post?i have no bad feeling now,you know why i got excited about the jane silcock ref,but i didnt want to mention it as members were already saying that i was making things up to fit,thats not true, but hopefully i may have some good news to post soon.x

Appreciably Ella might well be Eleanor, but we have found an Ella which we hope fits the bill.

I hope suzann has gone on & looked at that marriage ( again an Ella , Right place, appropriate time) and will hopefully go on from there.

Hi Girls can i just add something to all this.. i was the one who found a HOPE ISABELLA MACDONALD B 1898.. and told Suzanne it was Isabella Hope so i am to blame for that..

The only real info Suzanne had was the name Ella McDonald and the birth cert for her Grandfather in 1915 Ronald McDonald..and she was told by family that Ella was 17 years old in 1915..so that makes her born c1898.

Suzanne had assumed she had found an Isabella McDonald in Toxteth in 1901 parents Andrew & Ann, and had followed this family..But when i found the Hope Isabella McDonald and you guys found her father to be called Ronald plus the Wavertree area.. that seems to make more sense and fitted better..

I have said to Suzanne we can't just assume we have the right girl. Ella could be short for Eleanor ..Ellen, , Nelie.. or Isabella etc..the Beaconsfield Rd address where Ella's son Ronald was born needs checking out and i am onto that as we speak a mate of mine has a 1915 directory..

I am sure Suzanne is very grateful for the 1911 census details.. she was just trying to work out all this new information and get it into some sort of order..

Just in case you are interested, it looks like Ella MARRIED in 1916, maybe that is why she gave him away.
In the same year she had her grooms Daughter. so he has a half sister
look it up on freebmd, or Ancestry.

I have read through this whole thread, and while I regret that you feel the way you do ...... I do see why Minnie and Ricochet got so exasperated.

You were telling them how wrong they were with what they were finding, while insisting that what you knew was correct.

I also wonder if you realise just how expensive looking up information on the 1911 can be.

Yes, it is free to do an initial search, but if you want to know any more than is found in that initial search it costs 10 credits to look at the transcript and 30 credits to look at the actual census image ......... and 60 credits cost £6.95

THAT is the reason why no-one is offering to do searches on the 1911 .... we can barely afford to do it for ourselves let alone others.

Then you kept telling them they were wrong, because you were making assumptions to fit your "facts"??????????????

BTW ..... I also know Liverpool, even though I now live in Canada ....... and I found that a very condescending remark!

look im just excited to be getting some info at last,its very frustrating not to be able to do it my self,ive thought for all this time that she came from scotland,ive she was born in liverpool and lived in wavertree rd that would make so much sence,i dont know if you know liverpool at all?but i was born in wavertree rd,my grandfather lived with his adopted family in wavertree rd and my mum and her sister(his daughters)were brought up in wavertree rd,so it makes sence,i said earlier on that i think that ive been barking up the wrong tree,barkng up the wrong tree has cost me a lot of money,its a shock to find who i think is my family in liverpool and not scotland.thank you to everyone who has helped.
