Ann..you'll be delighted to know there were over 100 John Jones born in liverpool in 1853!!..but worry not..all i have to do is find a William and Elizabeth on the 1861 census!!....I'll get back to you......eventually!!

mmmm - I had noticed a few!

sorry misled you there - Elizabeth was his grandmother married to a John. William not at home on 1851 census. Mother was Martha but there are several marriages which might fit. Have got the census returns but he did not have any siblings (pity) which might have helped. They even lived in the same place for 20 years (51/61/71 census) & he was married from there in 1872. You'd think I could find them wouldn't you with that info.
