I've looked at the image on freebmd and it certainly looks like 3_9, and I've tried everything from 309 to 399 and no Elizabeth Johnson at all.

Got to go out, will try again later.

I agree, i better get some dinner on too. I am enjoying the peace and quite today as hubby ha taken the 4 kids down to visit their nan for the day.

Looks like we can discount the Thomas Cook marriage in 1886 as this is the missing spouse

I can't find them on the 1881 so what i would do is get Elizabeths B/C to see what her dads name was & try to use that to help find them in the 1881

Hope this helps, i just cant find mother, father, or brother after 1881.

Well done

I saw that marriage for Sarah to Andrew and did wonder seeing as Elizabeth had a son called Andrew but cos i couldn't see them together on the census i wasn't sure. Now that at least puts Elizabeth in Cardiff..but still no sign of a marriage

Some people hate naming patterns but i love em as it makes it easier to search
