john george speed married lydia smith 16 5 1891 in sutton in ashfield i do not have the information you require father etc i cannot see a baptism on the disc for him either or his children sorry i cant be of any more help

Could you please check Mansfield/Hucknall records if you have them. John George Speed c 1867 in Hucknall married Lydia Smith Junq 1891 in the Mansfield district and I would like to know their fathers/witnesses names.

In 1901 census he is showing as John George but unable to find him in earlier census.In 1881 there is a George Speed c1867 with parents William and Sarah. I cannot find a birth on Freebmd for a John George Speed around the timeframe but in Mar q 1867 there is a birth for a George Speed Mansfield district.

the only one i can find is ann 30 1 1770 to william and ann at everton nottinghamshire this is a baptism not birth they also had john 19 3 1775 and john 31 5 1779 sorry no occupation given which might have helped

Just noticed your kind offer of look ups and hope you may be able to help me.
Looking for the baptism or birth of Ann Bell .. to quote from an entry on her son William's baptism.. Ann daughter of William Bell of Orton Nottinghamshire butcher. She may have been born around 1761 , she married William Plowman in Melton Mowbay 1783 . I have tried the IGI but not found anyone who I think really fits .

Thank you very much for the info on William Broughton, this bears out with other details I have however, sad about William Owen, like an idiot, I didn't twig that he died after 1900!! sorry.

marriage william to catherine marshall 6 8 1871 notts st mark
possible marriage for lily richard henry palmer 11 11 1900 st matthius

yes the marriage is there in black and white glad to be of help the disc does not give fathers but i may be going to nottingham in the next holidays from school so i will try and look it up for you
