Find Ancestors

I have just found out that my Great grandfather had a twin sister but I am having trouble finding a marriage or death for her. Here are the details that I know.
Jane Buchanan Born November 7th 1859 Carmunnock Glasgow
Twin brother- Walter Buchanan ( My Great Grandfather)
Their Parents Walter Buchanan born c1931 Glasgow and Agnes Duncan born c1832 Carmunnock Glasgow.
Can't seem to find any other children

Any help would be great

Can you find any info on her Marriage or death, I can't find her anywhere.

She is on Scotland 1861 census with her parents & Duncan grandparents. Maybe someone else can put it up for you as I don't know how to. Only the twins on there so need to follow census up to 1901.

It dose not make sence Your grandfather was born in a different place and 1 day later ,I know he could have been born after midnight ,but it should be the same place,unless one was born home and the other in Hospital ?????

Lanark, Scotland Hutchesontown, near Carmunnock, Clarkston, Glasgow, UK

I have just found the family on the 1871 cencus and Jane is now called Jean obviously a nick name. will try and look under Jean on other cencus's. Also Walter snr is not there, it says Agnes is still married to him but he must be somewhere else on this cencus.
Another thing I know is Walter Snr died before 1896 as he is deceased on walter Jnr's Marriage cert.
Any help to find his death would be great as well.

I have copies of the Birth cert's and they are twins and were both born in Carmunnock Glasgow but as you say one was born on the 7th and one on the 8th, nust have been either side of midnight i think.

have they any sisters ???

I don't know. Walter and Jane are the only ones I have found and looking on the 1871 cencus they are the only children then.

can you find her in 1881 ??in scotland

there are a lot of marriages in england for Jane if she moved

just relooking at the moment but Can't find the family on 1881 cencus at the moment.
I know Walter jnr moved to london and Married in 1896 Jane Dufosee. But as to where the others are or if they are alive I have not been able to see. Only thing I do know from the Marriage of Walter Jnr and Jane Dufosee is Walter Buchanan Snr is Deceased and his mother is not on the cert at all.

The district Poplar is an alternative name for Poplar and it spans the boundaries of the counties of Greater London, London and Middlesex;

perhaps it might be worth checking these marriages out.pick one of the men and check the app/ census against the man to see where the jane was born .the marriages took place in London It's a long shot.but you never know,

Yep that is Walter jnrs Marriage.
Seems funny we can't find his sister Jane anywhere.
Maybe she did move to london with Walter but you would have thought she would have been a witness at his wedding if she was around and it is only the Dufosee family on there.
I will have to keep searching

Just got the cert downloaded and the informant is her son Walter.
So still no joy on Janes whereabouts
but thanks for that info will have another look for Walter snr death now as well because I have not found that on either.
