Find Ancestors

im really stuck!!! i have william harris in 1911 census pob worcester..age 33...he married edith may in putney london dec 1901...info i got from his elderly daughter 85 is he was george 19-6-1874! birmingham he,s a baker.. his father james was a horse dealer 1842 -1906 buried at smethwick birmingham..apparently williams mother died when he was a young age & an uncle charlie bought him up...ive found a possibility in 1881 were william age 6 is grandson to james 1822, & son charlie a baker pob worcester...died 1934 smethwick....william died 1940 aged 65 wealdstone cemetery,hendon.......cant seem to find him as either name on any other census!

is the one in 1911 definitely your william?
have you got his marriage cert? that should name his father and give their occupations
have you tracked down his birth cert?
what was his mother's name?
names of any of his brothers/sisters?

yeh 1911 is definately him...he,s a baker..
only his fathers name on marriage cert..
havnt found birth or death even tho ive got the dates
i sent for one birth & its wrong
i dont no if he had any elder siblings

What was his age on his M/C..cos the 1911 has him born abt 1878

age 22 on married cert

gr aunt not sure exactly his birth yr 1874

but said he died march 1940 aged 65

jus found a bit more
they had 2 boys that died 2wks apart
1st boy wilfred george age 5
2nd boy leslie william 6months

Was trying to see if i could see a death for him...Cos he died in March then it could be registered in the next Qtr but i couldn't see anything

i think the info gr aunt sent is roughly right coz at 85
she must have some info not jus by memory

Have you Edith on the 1901 as im struggling to find George... you would have thought they knew each other by then seeing as they married at the end of the year

I have the same in my family...my gt g/dad on everything baring his birth was down as William his birth reg was Samuel William

coz gr aunt says they died 1907
but i have 1908 june for leslie

in 1903 they carsholton epsom were me nan was born

also 1911 said 2 kids had died i asked me dad he said yeh twins
but knows nothing!! sent for a cert but not them think they still born!
then when mum wrote to gr aunt we were told about the 2 boys
but they still had a further 7 kids
