Hi Jen

Thank you for the offer

Would you kindly look up all the marriages for the surname of Parks or Parkes in Battle.

I'm not sure if this is easy for you to do - if this is too hard let me know and will send the names separately for you.

Thank you very much

Sarah

Thank you for your very kind offer. I have an ancestor that I know nothing about where he was born or where he married but know he had children around 1810 onwards.
His name is Andrew Wilkes and his wife was Christiana. All the children were born before 1837 ao cannot get her name either so If you would please be kind enough to check if he married Sussex for me I would really appreciate it. Many thanks Irene

Hello Jenny thank you so very much for looking for my Andrew Wilkes for me- that was very kind of you.
Yes the people you found are my ancestors. I have found most of the information you have provided.
There is an interesting article in the Times re an attempted murder on Andrew's wife Christiana. I purchased an item from British Origins re Trinity House where Christiana applied for a pension after Andrew's death and that gave details of Andrew going to sea as a young boy and details of the ships he served on. He was at sea 33 years.
Have copies of all the birth, marriage and deaths of the family but have never been able to find marriage details or Andrew and Christiana or their birth details - one day perhaps - fingers crossed. any thanks again for your help. Regards Irene

Thankyou for your offer

I'm after a marriage from sometime between 1680 and 1700. I'm after the marriage of John De Pau (De Pau, Depaw) and Amy. he baptized some of his children in Rye in Sussex. He married again to Mary in the late 1690's.

Thankyou
Derek

Hi, Jen. Thanks for your kind offer.

I'd like to know the surname (if possible) of Phoebe who married Thomas Ellis approx 1830, very likely at Glynde, where Thomas was born about 1809. Phoebe was apparently born at LIttle Horsted also about 1809 and moved to Glynde.

About 1830 or soon after marriage, Thomas and Phoebe moved north to Framfield and had several children; the first, I believe, was Ann born approx. 1831.

Thomas had a brother, William, born 1811 at Glynde. Is there a record of William's marriage - say about 1830 onward in the vicinity?

Anything you can find about these folks (particularly Phoebe and her parents' names if given) will be very welcome news.

Many thanks.

Barry

Hi, Jen.

Thank you so much for the marriage information for Thomas Ellis and Phoebe Townsend in 1830 (and all the Williams).

One clarification, please, does the entry noted mean Phoebe (of Little Horsted) and Thomas married there, or did they marry at Glynde where they lived for a while?

Many thanks.

Barry

hi Jenny

Thanks for looking up the marriage of John De Paw. with him being mentioned as a widower it opens the possiblitiy that another marriage i found could be him.
Could you possibly look me up the marriage of John De Upe in 1695 in rye to see if it gives any other info?

Thankyou again
