thanks for info re sumption thomas. died age 27 - in 1897. i think the restof his family survived the 1901 census except eliza who had the maiden name of Headington. [bit confused]. I find it difficult to locate the deaths - having to trawl through 1/4ly registers is too time consuming. if there is a quick way i wouldbe glad to know it. chrissie 23

have to reply again - i should have said Sumption THompson died aged 27 in 1877. kings norton. the family re-located to birmingham and albert born 1845 became a direct descendant. His father Edward ,s death cannot be found yet. Am wondering if Eliza thompson died and edward re-married. / THANKS CHRISSIE 23

Eliza's maiden name was Bridewell, if you look at the 1851 census with the daughter Louisa you will see she is living with William and Maria Headington. Maria was Eliza's sister and she married a William Headington.... so Eliza and Maria's maiden name was Bridewell.

hi Dee - so sorry - only just found your posts. i hadn't checked under Surnames
well glad of the info about Edmund thompson
gonna have to re-write a whole page of his family tree.
I am still confused as to who the 'brimbles are. [or is it a christian name]
i have to say witha smile, that all these marriages !!!!!!!
more confusing when i tried to write down my cousins family ,
he has been married 3 times with children from each.
thanks again for all the info, I hadn't realized edmund had come up to B'ham so early - obviously to join his sons, who did the same
