Find Ancestors

I am trying to find info on a Winfred Gwenderlin BLair Patterson ( I could be spelling the name's wrong) she was born around 8th July 1900/1909 in what was then North Wales now could be England (Cheshire) somewere called Brin eridid (not sure if I have this correct spelling also) she never married but lived with a Harold Rhodes in Redcar Cleveland Teeside who ran a butcher shop ( I think also he was in the war as a seargant they had several children 1 of whom was called Charles Rhodes born 1900 I would be greatful for any help thanks Andy as me and my dad would like to to know more as we don't know much

Rather confused by the timescale Andrew...what year was Charles Rhodes born and where ? As the couple never married he maybe registered under Patterson.

You say Winnifred was born 1900/1909 and had a son born 1900?

I wonder if this is her? Guessing family moved to this area soon after she was born.

Hi yes I see I messed up on the charles dob I am not sure what is is then as they both can not be 1900 my dad ( who is quite elderly now) was trying to tell me he mentions a Harold I think it could be him she was with and Charles is there son ??? if that makes sence ??

I think Charles was born 1944! (Looked for birth on ancestry, do not have psychic powers).

Charles is my dad's dad so he would be my grandfather ??

I know he died 1950 but not sure when he was born he would be called Rhodes and I think his dad Harold or Harry Rhodes was in the army please forgive me as it is all a bit hard to follow at times...

My dad was born in Middesbrough and his dad Charles I believe was also born in Middlesbrough....

A bit of a sad story here but Charles ( 1944) committed sucide infront of a train think he died in 1974...

Andrew, without birth cert you can only get mother's maiden name.

Andrew, I wonder if your dad has the generations mixed up?
It looks as if that 1944 Charles is your dad's brother and his mother's maiden name is Patterson.
Do you have your dad's birth certificate? It must have parents names?

A Charles Rhodes died Dec. quarter 1975, C. Cleveland. He was born 3 Oct. 1944.

With just a little knowledge of the Welsh pronunciations (Welsh ancestors etc) and looking at google maps could Brin Eridid be Brynhyfrid I wonder...a small villiage within the area of Swansea.
