With just a little knowledge of the Welsh pronunciations (Welsh ancestors etc) and looking at google maps could Brin Eridid be Brynhyfrid I wonder...a small villiage within the area of Swansea.

Hi everyone

I managed to speak to my dad and get the facts proper...

Winifred Gwendoline B Patterson (born 1909 Wales Died 1974 Middlesbrough) was indeed with a Charles Rhodes ( they never married) they moved from South Wales to Redcar I believe then later onto Middlesbrough... they had several children

Charles Rhodes was born I believe in Bury Lancs around 1900 and died in 1950 in Middlesbrough

the Children were

Brian Patterson was a half brother who died in London in 1996/97
CharlesRhodes born 1944 died 1960
Alan Rhodes 1949/1950 still alive
Thomas Rhodes 1949 still alive
Joan Rhodes 1947/48 still alive

Charles's father was called Harold/Harry who was from Wales and moved to Redcar he was a Butcher and had a shop or 2 there...

Winifred Gwendoline B Patterson married in 1955 to a George Wood at Middlesbrough Registrar office...

Finally able to get some info... thankyou

On Tees Valley indexes you can confirm who married who:

http://www.middlesbrough-indexes.co.uk/

It confirms that Sarah Evans married Harry Patterson and Mary Evans married Samuel T. Evans.

Andrew

Andrew Report 6 Aug 2009 17:37

I had a look at that I am convinced it is Sarah Ann Evans married Harry Patterson
