Edit,,after a good look at the original image it says Sophia Harte and Herbert Harte,and Sophia says she is married.

Herbert Harte was married on Dec 24 1891 aged 21, bachalor to Alberha C Eaves aged 22 spininster, Residance at time of marriage , 26 louise st Halifax.

If he was registered, I have been unable to find one in norfolk or aldershot area,under Harper or Harte with any spelling possible of those names.

As he has Charles on his marriage cert as father you can either go with that or as you suspect him not to be his real father you will just have to leave that line of the tree blank.

It is funny that he appears to have been brought up by his Harper grandparents while his younger siblings were with their parents,but only you can decide.
