If he was registered, I have been unable to find one in norfolk or aldershot area,under Harper or Harte with any spelling possible of those names.

As he has Charles on his marriage cert as father you can either go with that or as you suspect him not to be his real father you will just have to leave that line of the tree blank.

It is funny that he appears to have been brought up by his Harper grandparents while his younger siblings were with their parents,but only you can decide.

Family history says mother was with child before she married and the child was not her husbands to be !
