"i havr tried to fill the form for 1911 census of Quinn"s household that u sent me but they need census ref nos"

I have no idea what that's about, Hazel.

If you use the form to search -- put ONLY this information in the form -- for

given name ALEXANDER
surname QUINN
year of birth 1852
place of residence WHITEHAVEN

you will find it. You do not have to fill in all the blanks.

Was that the question?

Oh, then you search for -- ONLY these blanks --

surname QUINN
place of residence WHITEHAVEN
living with
given name ALEXANDER
surname QUINN

and that will show you everyone who is living with an Alexander Quinn (I don't know whether there is more than one Alexander Quinn).

Hazel, if you could bring yourself to take one extra minute, and put something in your post that looks like:

Thanks so much for all the help so far, but I'm having a problem still.
Can anyone please help me to figure out how to see the details of the 1911 census?

you might just get some help.

I have never paid to see 1911 census details, so I couldn't help anyway.

But I do know that a number of other people are really quite fed up with being treated with quite so little consideration.

If Bernard Quinn was in an institution, he wasn't in the same household as the other Quinns. I imagine Lindsey just gave you a complete list of the Quinns in that location. There is nothing to say he is or is not related to the others.

Apparently James wasn't in the same household either. That list was just the Quinns in that location. The original image tells you which Quinns are actually living in a household together.

You
are
welcome,
Hazel

I'm sorry, but you don't often see someone show such consistently bad manners.
