Don't think ti was this family from the 1881 Census. I looked at the image, and I've annotated the list with what it says on there. Although Eliza Guy's occupation looks interesting! I'm not too sure what it actually means ...... is she living on Railway dividends or distributing them??

Harriet Hawkins 52 b.ca 1829, Prtsea, Hampshire, STONEMASONS WIFE
Harriet A. Hawkins 23 b.ca 1858, Portsea, Dressmaker

GranOfOzRubySlippers Report 16 Sep 2009 10:53

Dear Zoe, so sorry to have upset you about having Duplicate Threads on the same person. BUT, please do not PM me again, that is not nice.

We help with searching, because we enjoy doing it and helping others, we are not paid to do this, it is not a write of passage because we pay our GR fees. It is just that we love what we do. When you have 2 threads going on the same person and many people helping with those 2 threads and then find out that you already had been given the information it is very frustrating for the people who are trying to help you.

I try to help as I was given so much help from members who are willing to give up their time, knowledge and resources to paid sites. I for one am always grateful to these members. Also, I now try to help when I can to return some of the knowledge I have been given by the wonderful people on here.

I would advise that if you continue to want help on here, to only put up one thread on the one person, not 2. You are welcome to have 2 threads, but for different people. Saves time for those searching.

Looking at your member number you joined before I did, so in theory should be aware of the etiquette of the boards by now.

Gail,
Thankyou for your advice, I have been a member for some years but my brother who was only 23, my grandfather and my grandmother all died within a year so I have not been on here for a long time, I have only just renewed my membership and forgot everything which was found,
So Sorry to have mislead or upset anybody.
