Member Since: January 2008 Posts: 22 Send Message	I would like to find info on Joseph Prior, he would be my half uncle , his Mother Sarah Prior married my Grandfather George Westall , after first working as his housekeeper when George's first wife Ann hunter died in 1907. My Father Ernest Westall has told me that Joseph married Gladys Goodwin & they had 2 sons David & Brian i think. Joseph used to play the violin in the wheelwright pub in Lambourn .He was also a top shearer in his time. I would be glad of any info. Regards Jenny X

	For dates: Marriages Mar 1914 Prior Sarah Westall Hungerford 2c 479 Westall George Prior Hungerford 2c 479 Marriages Sep 1930 Goodwin Gladys Prior Hungerford 2c 843 Prior Joseph Goodwin Hungerford 2c 843 There are several births with that surname in the 1930s. I'll send you the details of the two in Berkshire by private message. Also sent names of children of one child, with directions for finding one in trees here at GR, it seems!

	I got the impression Jennifer is looking for living family of Joseph Prior. ;) She hasn't read my PM yet, but hopefully the names of six of his grandchildren, one of whom seems to be a GR member, will help!

	keep trying Janey. yours were not too far away. Marlborough is very near. I know because we got lost tring to find Aldbourne and ended up in Marlborough.

	Marlborough - that was the old theory! (Where do you remember that from??) Turned out mine were from Mere. ;) Two danged Benjamins & Marys marrying and having kids around the same time; I had to relinquiish the Marlborough ones, but that took me to mine, in the end! Besides, the Marlborough ones spell their name wrong. Have you found your missing link here yet??
