Wow it seems she was married before then. No one seems to have known this. The aunt did say tonight that James had been married before , but not Elizabeth. Maybe it was actually Elizabeth then?? You know how stories get muddled through the years?

Looks like!

Best idea seems to be to order up the birth cert for the birth June found. That should tell you her mother's name. Also the Neville+Bartlett marriage certificate, to make sure Eliza Neville = Eliza Smith.

And then come on back here and tell us the results!

Elizabeth had a sister called Mariah. I dont know if younger or older.

I certainly will. I am also going to a family party next month and there is someone who is a grandson of one of Evas brothers going, so I will ask him. Apparently, his grandad passed on a lot of old papers etc, so I will try and collar him. Thanks Ladies, a gold star to you all.
