1891 is a right muddle-up by Ancestry. Only William J, Emma, Caroline and Edward J are Hornbrooks. The rest belong to the next household of William H Hugh.

Emma looks like his mum, unless of course in 1911 he's a grandson and he's Caroline's illegitimate son.

It looks like she never married, unless by coincidence this is another Caroline born the same year.

Even if Caroline is his mother, William John & Emma are his grandparents so they are his ancestors.

Hi christine. thanks for the info. we had sorted it roughly but not 100% sure as there are so many ways the name was spelt. As far as we were aware Harry was Carolines illegitimate son and that she never married. We think his father was a Robert Broad. It is so complicated because in the past a Bragg married a Hornbrook and Harry married Mildred Bragg, his first cousin. If you can unravel anymore, iwould be very grateful. Thanks again. Terry.
