Hi Sylvia, yes I do. I haven't used the "community" before. When I said threads, what I meant was that I had gone into what I thought was two different areas. However I do see the error of my ways, and I can only appologise to you and Rambling Rose if I have offended you and other "boarders", and I will certainly be very careful in future that I do not cause any disruptions.
Regards and Happy New Year

Not 'entirely related'??

David, it was word for word the same message. Hopefully you understand now that it is not fair to invite people to do over what others have already done.

Hi Sylvia
Very many thanks for all your hard work. I did put the same questions on another thread which I did not think was entirely related (Christmas rose). Between the two of you you have found info that I have been trying to obtain for a long time, and I really appreciate it.
Regards
David

Maybe David will add that info to the thread so it is available for Sylvia and anyone else reading?

Sylvia, just to let you know that I found Peter Charles' brothers on 1861 and have sent the details to David by pm :)

chrissiex Report 30 Dec 2009 18:32

Sylvia I just had a quick read of all your work and about that correction in 1871 Annie Skinner to Mary Anne Skinner the person who made that correction can be contacted through the Ancestry system, is it possible that it is someone David would want to contact? I haven't absorbed all the details here, lol.

edit I see it is the same person whose family tree at Ancestry you have quoted Sylvia

Have you informed Rambling Rose of this thread and the information found in it David?

http://www.genesreunited.com.au/boards.asp?wci=thread&tk=1195070&px=2

You put the exact same question to her less than an hour later so you might want to tell her not to waste her time doing everything Sylvia in Canada has done.

David Report 30 Dec 2009 07:50

To my knowledge none of the family went overseas until my parents went to Kenya when I was 4 in 1949 (that is through William Henry anyway). Maybe they somehow missed the census. Peter Charles senior obviously died between 1854 and 1877. Strangely enough my grandfather William Charles was born in 1877! His mother Mary (nee Hall) did remarry in later life having been widowed very young to (I believe) Lewis Franklin in @1896 but I know nothing of him.
I always thought it strange that William Henry (1853) and Peter Charles (1824) had no siblings that I could find, and now you seem to have done it in minutes!

Hi David

No, 'cos that is the only place I've seen a reference to her/him

BUT I did look at www.freebmd.org.uk ....... and the only E S Skinners shown were all female!

It's interesting ...... I don't seem able to find any of them on the 1861 Census .... I wonder if the family went overseas??

That is very interesting. William Henry was my great grandfather. He and his wife Mary (nee Hall) had two children, William Charles( my paternal grandfather) and Ernest James. Apparently Uncle Ernie did tell his daughter Mabel about some "cousins". Unfortunately anyone who could tell me anything is now deceased. Is there any indication as to whether E S Skinner is male or female?
