So Duncan jnr...(assume he is son of Duncan) wouldn't have been born on previous posting so how had you lost him...D.jnr. birth date approx.1894....so should be on 1901 Census...(knowing your luck he wont be..!!)
Wondered when the Fergusons would come into the mix...

On Duncan Jrs marriage certificate( it looks like )he was aged 33, he married Susanna Rodgers Ferguson on 7 March 1927 in Greenock.

Haha, I was looking for any siblings Duncan Jr had but now we can't find Duncan Jr. AAAAAGGHHHHHHHHH

Well we are after moving houses again.....because 3 sons of James Morrison (Pastry Baker) were born1893/1894/1899 at No.20 Trafalger St.

In 1882 a one John Morrison plus family were living at No 17.....
Does this seem like history repeating itself....????

Re Charles McKinnon and Sarah Strachen. (as per Kaths info.)

Charlie was boilermaker and they lived at 3 Belville St.
Sarah died 28 March 1876.

In 1890 Charlie was living at ...guess where...??
16 Trafalger St.
Eldest son Daniel aged 26 died there 21 July 1890.

I've been reading your thread as I like to do Scottish research.

Just for information, I found that the McKinnons' living with the Morrison family in 1891, are the children of Charles McKinnon & Sarah Strachan, not Elizabeth who appears to be Charles' wife on the 1881 census.

Charles McKinnon married Sarah Strachan 21/11/1862 Greenock.
It looks like Sarah died sometime after the birth of David McKinnon b. 1873.
I've just got this gut feeling that the McKinnons are related to the Morrisons somehow. I'll see if I can find anything concrete.

Strange you should ask that question.

Some one has added name corrections to show them as Morrison - even more odd is that they are listed as children of Duncan

But as images are not available on Ancestry I can not check but will see if I can find them on earlier census

GB, do you know if the McKinnons are related to Morrisons (1891)

He must be John D, maybe the D stands for Duncan?

Can not find a Duncan Morrison b 1889 Greenock on either 1891 or 1901 census - not shown as grandchild or visitor etc
