I am looking for any information on James Phillip Dalton Pawsey born about 1856 i believe he was in the royal navy in ww1 and won a vc any information of his military records will be great. He was born in chelsea

born where?

ww1 didnt start until 1914 - he'd have been getting on a bit!

Concetta sounds like a Maltese name so not so strange!

or strangled either!!!

she was transcribed as Conget in 1911, which wa the name I thought strange.

I wonder if the three infant death in Devonport were their children too?

William and Catherine's son, my Great Grandfather, was James Phillip Dalton Pawsey, who married Rosina Mifsud on the 5 August 1890 at Victoria Church, Isla, Malta. He returned to England a few years later and settled in Plymouth. ( He had seven children - five sons Ernest, James, John, Joseph, & William (pictured below) and two daughters, Madeline and Jessie. Two of his sons later emigrated to Australia - James and John.
