Geez, Helen

Thank you

I was fuming last night about the deleted posts on this thread ........ deleted by helpers who had found information, posted it then deleted it. And I know they had done that because I saw this thread earlier in the day but didn't have time to do any work on it.

I knew that I was repeating some work because of those deletions

BUT to now know that work has been repeated because Trevor didn't give all the information he had

That's it!!

More steam coming from ears!

I shall be ultra careful with Trevor and his requests in future.

bearcub/trevor

you are getting flack because you have seemingly asked this question before.

That's fine ...........................

But the usual thing to do is EITHER continue with that earlier thread (or threads) when wanting information on the same people.

OR alternatively, to post on any new thread, everything that you know has been found on those previous threads.

Otherwise, you have people like me wasting our time finding that information all over again ...... and again, and again!

We love to help people, and it makes no difference to us whether you are a Gold member or a Standard member (like me) ..................... we help everyone.

Even to saying that we wouldn't waste our money on being a Gold member!! lol!

Some people go to the extent of searching out earlier threads to see what has been found .................... or they might remember having worked on the family and/or name before.

Unless I remember the name for some reason, i can't be bothered to go searching for past threads ........ but if I had known what information you already had, then I could have spent that couple of hours either searching on other sites for you OR in helping someone else.

BTW...... it is in GR's Terms and Conditions that there should not be more than 1 thread posted on the same subject.

In case you don't know, all previous threads you have started or on which you have posted can be found by looking in the box headed Tools to the left of the screen, and then clicking on My Threads.

While we're at it ..................... internet etiquette says that you shouldn't use all capitals. Many people (including myself) find it hard to read ...... but it is also considered to be shouting in the internet community. :)))
