Maureen, sorry if Im getting confused. Your husband was from the first marriage or second?

Also the marriage certs you have. They do have the same fathers details and William in the same age on each?

Please post ALL details on the certificates even the wittnesses

And, please read through the questions we have bombarded you with...they need answering if we are to help solve this little problem

Might have a look for marriages of Edward C S Bradley, maybe he's left a wife behind? Perfect candidate to look after an orphan child?

There are no children born with Otto in their name, and there are no girls born with the name Rosa...

Tree belonging to Maureen and husband on Ancestry.
If you put his second wife Olive Mary Williams born 1907 Wales died 1982 in East Ham London you will find it,although it doesn't tell you anything other than they had 2 sons.
William died1943 in Ilford essex.

Dont bother with the birth of your husband I have found that in 1932

I have looked at 3 Williams in military 1911 says they are all single,did you find one that was married,i can't seem to find Edward 1911 ,where is it please.

Mary,

Just because they do not state Widowed doesn't mean they are not!

If his wife has died, and remembering it's his CO who is filling in the form, they may have simply listed him as single, knowing he doesn't have a wife. I suppose they wouldn;t ask if he's had one that died!

I can post the 1911, not to sure it'll give you anything tho!

Remember not everything is black and white!

Alfred, a traveller....they could be anywhere in 1911 !!

Sorry for delay had visitors.
Mary and Wayne Tracey have it
i have the address and have visited that address but i'm looking for William's first wife's death or any children .
have details of of both marriages and deaths of William and Olive .
william was married in 1906 no one 1931 no two
he was 20 and Rosa 20 in 1931 he was 42 Olive 26.

Both Edward and Constance were alive in 1940's both married .
My husbands mother never talked about first marriage it wasn't until she died that we dicovered it .
Very frustrating / there were no photo's or anything .

Do you have any of Rosa's family on 1911,I can't seem to find any.

I see you have her as daughter of James 1845 and Mary? 1847 plus 7 siblings according to 1901 census.

I wonder if they all went abroad.
There was a Chester Cole 1891 but only a birth for Charles Chester Cole 1891,anyway he died overseas.
