Find Ancestors

Hi everone
I am looking for a Sarah Lizzie Reynolds on the 1881 census, she was born 1869 at Spalding, fathers name Charles, mother name Harriet.
I can find her on the 1871 census aged two years, but cannot find her on the 1881 census, would have been about twelve at that time
She was still alive in 1887, just had a baby.
Can anyone help me, Thank you.

This looks like Harriot on the next census with no children with her and she is a Nurse (sick).

Thanks for looking, she was born at West Pinchbeck Spalding Lincolnshire, Not sure about her changing her name to Elizabeth, but one never knows.
Not Grimsby, she had her baby at Pinchbeck 1887.

That death of Charles I put up in my first posting must have been wrong then.

These are Charles, Emily and Herbert (Reynolds on the original).

They look to be living next door to Frances Leach and David and Flolrence Jones, but the original says 'son', 'daughter' and 'son' respectively ?

I have check on all the names on the 1871/1881 census for all the children of Charles/Harriet Reynolds, cannot find Eliza Reynolds birth about 1865 or Sarah Lizzie, only a Sarah birth about 1868.
Then the baby was christened 1886, mothers name down has Sarah Lizzie.

Well it was'nt compulsary to register births until 1875 Brian. A registered birth did'nt always have middle names either so the birth for Sarah Reynolds is probably the right one. Her proper name was probably Sarah Elizabeth Reynolds.

I think this is Charles's birth and death. Notice the middle name of Smith and on one census there was a nephew born Spalding with surname Smith visiting the family.

This could be her on the 1901.

I have'nt put her on the list of names because it is much too long with all the other people at the same two shops.


She is not with her son on the 1891. Her son is living as a lodger on the 1891 aged 5 years with a Susan Green in Lincolnshire and he is the only other person in that house on the night of the census.

Her son was William Walter Reynolds born 1886/7 lincs.

ok so Sarah's son is on the 1901 "adopted " by Susan... can't find a death for his mother in Lincolnshire between his birth and 1891...

William Walter Reynolds birth 25th December 1885, christened on the 2nd February 1886.
He married Mary Jane cooper 1906 at Spalding Lincolnshire.
It was said his mother died young and in child birth and, live with a Susan Green at Spalding at the time of the 1891 census, age 5.
Also that someone paid for him to train has a painter & decorater.
